Resources for Fundraising Professionals

AFP SOCO is committed to providing a variety of resources for development professionals and promoting the value of ethics in our work.

Coronavirus/COVID-19 Resources

We know these are challenging, scary and even puzzling times for you. To help you navigate the ever-changing landscape, we’ve gathered resources to help guide you in your fundraising, donor communications and more, and what it means to engage with donors during a time in which in-person interaction is likely non-existent.

Local Resources

  • Foundation Directory Online Pikes Peak Library District is offering remote access to Foundation Directory Online through the through the Robert Hilbert Nonprofit Resource Center
  • Pikes Peak Community Foundation COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund - Applications for nonprofit assistance are being accepted on a continuous basis for immediate, mid and long-term efforts. Currently, The Fund is prioritizing basic human needs, i.e., food, shelter, healthcare, for the most vulnerable populations for financial assistance through April 30, 2020.
  • Colorado Assistance Fund (El Pomar) -  Because the current needs in the nonprofit sector are greater than El Pomar’s Colorado Assistance Fund (CAF) can support, CAF is not accepting applications at this time. Grants from CAF are awarded only to organizations nominated by El Pomar regional council members or public health departments.
  • Colorado Nonprofit Association - CNA is offering webinar workshops free to members and nonmembers. They are also hosting weekly nonprofit hangouts. Many resources are available on the linked page.

AFP Ethics: Guidelines, Codes and Standards

Donor Bill of Rights

To ensure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the nonprofit organizations and causes they are asked to support, we declare that all donors have these rights
