Martin Wood has worked in development for thirty-five years. In the past 25 years he had held two positions at the University of Colorado, serving as Vice President for Development with the University of Colorado Foundation and is currently the Senior Vice Chancellor for University Advancement and Development at UCCS. Wood has had responsibility for annual fundraising campaigns totaling $217M and has served on three national capital campaign steering committees that have raised over $1.9B. In his role as Senior Vice Chancellor he oversees development, marketing, branding, publications, public and community relations, state and federal relations, alumni relations and strategic partnerships. Wood is a member of the Chancellor’s leadership team and an officer of the university.
Wood is very involved in the community, chairing the Regional Leadership Forum, serves on the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation board and is founding member of the Colorado Springs Regional Leaders Trips. Wood also serves on the National Cybersecurity Center Board of Directors. He is a 2008 graduate of the Colorado Springs Leadership Institute and received the 2010 Profiles in Leadership award from the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce. He is past chair of the Board of Trustees for the Penrose-St. Francis Health System.
