2022 Scholarship Information

About the Chamberlain Scholarship

If you have never attended an AFP International Fundraising Conference because it was cost-prohibitive, consider applying for the  Chamberlain Scholarship. This scholarship defrays the cost for first-time conference attendees, no matter the longevity of your AFP membership. To qualify, you must be a current AFP member and employed at a nonprofit as a fundraising professional or an executive director.

The scholarship covers the conference registration fee, minus a $10 processing fee, to attend the AFP ICON 2022 held in Las Vegas, NV from May 2-4, 2022. An additional $1,000 stipend is also provided to assist in travel and lodging costs. This scholarship is given by the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy and the AFP Southern Colorado Chapter.

Application Process

The 2022 Chamberlain Scholarship Application is now closed. The deadline for applications was Monday, October 25th. Questions? Please contact our chapter at prez-elect@afpsoco.org

A Note from 2021 Chamberlain Scholarship Recipient, Emily Loof

"When I found out last December that I had been awarded our chapter’s Chamberlain Scholarship, I was honored and excited to return to Minnesota, where I attended college, and learn from the best and brightest in fundraising. Unfortunately, the conference was transitioned to virtual-only several months ago, but I was lucky to still have the opportunity to attend from home. I gained invaluable experience from an arguably broader perspective of the best of the fundraising community, as travel barriers were removed and the conference truly opened up to the entire nation."
