2021 Scholarship Information
About the Chamberlain Scholarship
If you have never attended an AFP International Fundraising Conference because it was cost-prohibitive, consider applying for the 2021 Chamberlain Scholarship. This scholarship defrays the cost for first-time conference attendees, no matter the longevity of your AFP membership. To qualify, you must be a current AFP member and employed at a nonprofit as a fundraising professional or an executive director.
The scholarship covers the conference registration fee, minus a $10 processing fee, to attend the AFP ICON 2021 held in Minneapolis, MN from April 18-20, 2021. An additional $1,000 stipend is also provided to assist in travel and lodging costs. This scholarship is given by the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy and the AFP Southern Colorado Chapter.
The application process will open in the fall of 2020. Questions? Please contact Christopher Aaby at email@example.com
Our 2020 Chamberlain Scholarship Recipient
"With many thanks to all those who have made this possible, I am beyond honored to have been selected as the Chamberlain Scholar so that I may attend AFP ICON in March 2020. I am sure this opportunity will ignite new ideas for fundraising and strengthen the passion I already have for this community. I would not be where I am today without the guidance of so many within (and outside of) the philanthropic sector as I continue to be an introvert finding a new voice. I have found that, as much as I would want to, I was not put on this earth to sit in a quiet space and live behind a screen. I am here to listen, to offer opportunities, and to connect with those just as passionate about the community as I am. I, like so many others, am here to make this world a better place."
